Ringling Museum of Art

Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out the Ringling Museum of Art, open daily 10am-5pm.

Sarasota got it's name on the map from the circus community that lived here. In 1911, John Ringling and his wife, Mable, bought the 20 acres of waterfront property and began construction on their mansion in 1924.

Included in this museum are all the paintings that Ringling collected over the years. Peter Paul Rubens, Velàzquez, Poussin, van Dyck, and many other baroque painters are included in his collection.

Stop in for a relaxing afternoon wandering through the museum, admiring the fine details that went into building the mansion, and strolling through the waterfront property with a perfect view of the bay.
Located at 5401 Bay Shore Rd Sarasota, FL 34243
